Release Notes: 16 March 2026

This release focuses on strengthening system stability, improving AI-assisted workflows, and enhancing integration reliability across the Comtrac platform. The update addresses a number of know issues affecting case management, task creation, document export, and location handling. Improvements have also been made to AI prompt behaviour and system notifications to provide a more stable and predictable user experience. No new modules or features have been introduced in this release.

1. What’s New  

This release focuses on platform integrity, usability improvements, and resolution of known issues. 

1.1 Enhancements  

Bulk Exhibit Management

Enabling users to efficiently update or delete multiple exhibits at once. These improvements significantly reduce manual effort when managing large volumes of exhibit records and improve operational efficiency for investigators.

1.2 Fixes

The following issues have been resolved:

Case & Offence Management

  • Deleting an offence element now correctly removes associated AI prompts and messages

  • Duplicate AI prompt records are no longer created when saving prompt configurations

  • Errors when creating allegations containing large amounts of text have been resolved

  • Import Field Note to Case no longer requires administrator permissions

Task Management

  • Tasks can now be created when addresses contain only a region

Address & Location Accuracy

  • Incorrect latitude and longitude coordinates applied to addresses in the Frontline App

  • Time zone handling inconsistencies across system services

Audit Logging

  • Running sheet creation from correspondence not appearing in audit logs

API Behaviour

  • Unclear system responses when delete actions failed

1.5 Controls & Oversight  

Where AI prompts are used within the platform, outputs remain advisory only.

Investigators and authorised users retain responsibility for reviewing, editing and approving AI-generated content before it is used operationally.

Audit logging improvements within this release further strengthen transparency and compliance oversight.
